In celebration of the Tempe community's creative spirit and with support from the Department of English at ASU, the Tempe Writing Contest accepts submissions of original works of fiction, creative nonfiction (including memoirs and essays) or poetry for "Tempe Writes: An Anthology." The writings of high school students, college students, and adults will be represented in three age categories: ages 14-18, ages 19-22, and age 23+.
The contest is sponsored by Tempe Public Library and Arizona State University and submissions are open September 4-18, 2025.
