TELAC teachers complete their coursework (9 graduate credits) as a cohort in two semesters, Fall and Spring. Each semester, students take two courses, a hybrid class which meets face-to-face and online and an online practicum. The program also provides individual coaching for teachers as a means to fine tune their teaching practice. As part of their practicum, TELAC participants review, practice new strategies and reflect on their progress.
Completing the TELAC program requires a commitment to complete required course work each week and to attend in-person classes once a week as scheduled (hybrid class does not meet in person every week). Participants are expected to complete the program with their cohort and to attend the TELAC Professional Development Institute.
