ENG 102: Indigenous Rhetoric's Project Communal Effort

Students in Instructor Kyle Wilson's ENG 102 course have created Project Communal Effort and as part of American Indian Culture Week at ASU are raising funds for needy families.

The project team, which is comprised of 11 Honors Students from Barrett Honors College along with Wilson, coordinates donation drives and events to benefit Native American families facing disparities in AZ. Much of the group's efforts are seated within research and assignments completed in ENG 102: Indigenous Rhetoric.

According to Wilson, Project Communal Effort is a result of what happens when "students' research and writing jumps off the page to be materialized in real life to benefit the 22 Native American tribes in AZ."

Currently the group is partnering with two Tempe businesses to offer a portion of proceeds using the attached flyers:
