Public lecture by novelist Alejandro Morales

Along with the Spanish Program, School of International Letters & Cultures (SILC), Hispanic Research
Center (HRC), Department of Transborder Chicana/o & Latina/o Studies (DTCLS), and Dean of the Graduate College, ASU English co-sponsors this visit by internationally recognized Chicano novelist Alejandro Morales. His lecture is entitled, “The Transnational Chicano Condition from the XIX to the XXI Centuries: Colonized, Brick Layers, Gang Bangers, Lepers, and Anti‐Narcotic Agents.” Morales is the author
of "Barrio on the Edge," "Death of an Anglo," "Reto en el Paraíso," "The Brick People," "The Rag Doll Plagues," "Waiting to Happen," and "The Captain of All These Men of Death." He is Professor of Chicano Studies and Spanish at the University of California, Irvine.
Free of charge and open to the public.
